Work place violence and bullying:
Problem: A multinational company has an issue with a number of senior employees who have been accused of work place bullying. Management has detected the onset of ingrained workplace bullying practices and corruption of workplace systems which have both a production and financial impact.
Investigation & Outcome: Probity & Equity conducted initial analysis as to the reported problem. Once initial findings were made a thorough investigation was undertaken with final reports resulting in employee dismissals, reprimands and organizational counseling and rehabilitation for the victims of the bullying.
Industrial sabotage:
Problem: Management of a global manufacturing company detected sabotage of production materials that resulted in detrimental impact on the company’s commercial reputation. This has resulted in the deterioration of the general working culture as many employees feel that they are under constant review and scrutiny from management as being the possible cause.
Investigation & Outcome: Probity & Equity initiate a thorough investigation which includes interviews of 100+ staff and management.
On conclusion Probity & Equity found that a number of employees had set out to destroy not only the manufactured goods but also the company’s global reputation as they were disgruntled with working practices and recent senior management decisions.
This resulted in Probity & Equity recommending the implementation of a work place training program that would help reinvigorate disgruntled employees, whilst simultaneously implementing an on-going detection strategy that minimizes the risk of further sabotage.
Life threatening work place incident:
Problem: An on the job accident led to serious harm to an employee and also a threat to the continuation of a major project.
Investigation & Outcome: Probity & Equity undertook a full investigation of the incident, which entailed interviews with the injured employee, his colleagues and management.
On conclusion of the investigation it is found that the employee was the victim of an unfortunate accident that was caused by no fault of the employees or the company.
Probity & Equity develop quick time response models as well as training and contingency plans for the company to assure the reduced risks of accidents occurring in the future.
Product substitution:
Problem: A major Australian food production company whose leading claim was that they produced and supplied an 100% Australian grown product had come into disrepute with one of their leading clients as they client was led to believe that the product supplied was not in fact Australian. It was alleged that the product in question was being supplied from Asia and re-packaged in Australia.
Investigation & Outcome: Probity & Equity were retained by a third party to investigate the original source of the product and report back as an independent body to both the food production company and their client.
After an intense investigation it was found that the product was wholly produced and supplied from Australia and that the initial information had been supplied as tactical industrial espionage from a competitor.
